Padrón built the 1964 Anniversary Series in 1994 to mark thirty years in business. The Padrón 1964 Anniversary Imperial Maduro is a Nicaraguan puro under a sun-grown maduro wrapper, box-pressed in the old Cuban style.

All of its tobacco is aged four years, and each cigar carries a double band and an individually numbered guarantee seal. The flavor usually centers on cocoa and dark coffee, with a sweeter cedar and dried-fruit edge through the box-pressed body. At 6 by 54, the Imperial settles into a long, full session.
