Aging Room Quattro Nicaragua Concerto 7″ x 50

Handmade in Nicaragua, the Aging Room Quattro Nicaragua Concerto is a maduro-wrapped box-pressed churchill from Rafael Nodal’s Aging Room. Aging Room rests its tobacco before release and names its sizes after musical terms.

It blends a Nicaraguan Maduro wrapper over a Nicaraguan binder and filler at a medium to full body, leading with cocoa, espresso, black pepper, and a sweet, almost-syrupy dark earth. At 7 by 50, the box press gives it crisp edges and a slow, even burn.

Maduro means ripe in Spanish, and it describes the fermentation rather than a type of seed. Any leaf can be taken to maduro if it is thick enough to survive the extra time under heat, which is where the dark color and the sweetness come from.

Pairs well with bourbon, espresso, or porter.
