Description

The Lost City blend traces to Andy Garcia’s 2005 film of the same name. The production needed a Cuban tobacco farm on screen, Carlos Fuente Jr. supplied the plants, and the tobacco set aside from that shoot became its own Opus X release.

A Dominican sun grown wrapper off Chateau de la Fuente covers aged Dominican binder and filler, medium to full. Expect sweet cedar, raisin, leather, espresso and dark chocolate to a lightly spiced finish. At 5 3/4 by 52, the double robusto gives the blend room without stretching it thin.

Opus X is a Dominican puro top to bottom, wrapper included, which almost nothing else from the country can claim. Lost City runs are small and do not sit on a shelf.

Pairs well with cognac, bourbon, or espresso.
