The Connecticut Half Corona is the milder, Connecticut-shade version of Ashton’s short smoke. The Ashton Connecticut Half Corona pairs a Connecticut shade wrapper with a Cameroon binder and Dominican filler, made by the Fuente family, at a mild to medium body.

The flavor usually stays gentle, with cream, cedar, and a light nuttiness. At 4 1/8 by 37, it is a short, smooth smoke.

The small size suits a quick break or earlier in the day. It comes in tins of 5 or boxes of 50, so a tin is easy to carry. A short, mellow Connecticut Ashton.

Pairs well with coffee, cream ale, or champagne.
