The Casa 1910 Cavalry Edition As de Oro is a San Andrés-wrapped toro from Casa 1910, a Mexican boutique, handmade in Nicaragua. Casa 1910 is one of the few premium cigars rolled in Mexico.

It blends a Mexican San Andrés wrapper over a Mexican binder and Nicaraguan and Mexican filler at a medium to full body, leading with cocoa, espresso, black pepper, and a sweet, almost-syrupy dark earth. At 6 by 54, it burns cool and even.

Mexican San Andres has become the default maduro wrapper across the industry, to the point that a cocoa note on a dark cigar is usually this leaf doing the talking.

Pairs well with bourbon, espresso, or mezcal.
