At a slim 44 ring, the Casa Cuba Doble Tres puts more of its Ecuadorian Habano wrapper against the blend. Part of Carlos Fuente Sr.’s last line, the Arturo Fuente Casa Cuba Doble Tres pairs that wrapper with Cuban-seed Dominican binder and filler, round and medium-bodied.

The narrow ring brings cedar and cream forward, with light coffee and a clean, leathery sweetness. At 5 1/2 by 44, the corona is a slower, more wrapper-driven smoke.

The medium body works earlier in the day as easily as the evening. It comes as singles or by the box, so one is an easy first try. A slim, classic take on the Casa Cuba blend.
