Description

Handmade in Nicaragua, the Crowned Heads Broadway Robusto Extra is a broadleaf-wrapped robusto from Crowned Heads. Crowned Heads partners with top factories on small, carefully curated releases.

It blends a Connecticut Broadleaf wrapper over a Nicaraguan Jalapa binder and Nicaraguan filler at a medium to full body, leading with cocoa, espresso, black pepper, and a sweet, almost-syrupy dark earth. At 4 3/4 by 52, it burns cool and even.

Broadleaf comes off the same Connecticut ground as the pale shade leaf, handled the opposite way: full sun instead of cloth, stalk cut instead of picked, and fermented hard.

Pairs well with bourbon, espresso, or porter.
