A dark, toothy Mexican San Andres wrapper covers aged Nicaraguan binder and filler from My Father, medium to full. Expect earth, cocoa, espresso and roasted nuts. At 5 1/2 by 54, the box-pressed belicoso concentrates everything through the tapered head.

Pepin Garcia blends it and his family rolls it in Esteli. Fifteen years on, it is still the measuring stick for what a San Andres maduro ought to cost.
