El Jefe is the seven-inch gordo in La Aroma de Cuba’s mild Connecticut line, built by the García family at My Father. The La Aroma de Cuba Connecticut El Jefe sets an Ecuadorian Connecticut wrapper over Nicaraguan binder and triple-fermented Nicaraguan filler, at a mild to medium body.

The flavor usually stays smooth and creamy, with coffee, cashew, light spice, and a soft buttercream sweetness. At 7 by 58, the gordo gives a long, slow, easygoing burn.
