My Father Fresh Pack No. 2, 5-Cigar Sampler

The My Father Fresh Pack No. 2 is a sealed five cigar assortment from the Garcia family, hand rolled at My Father Cigars S.A. in Esteli, Nicaragua. It runs across four different lines rather than five of one blend, so a single pack covers a good stretch of what the factory does. Contents may vary.

Inside the Fresh Pack:

• Don Pepin Garcia Black Edition.
• Jaime Garcia Reserva Especial, an oily dark broadleaf wrapper over Nicaraguan tobacco at medium to full. Jaime Garcia put his own name to it after a one off New York release in December 2009 went down better than anyone expected.
• La Antiguedad, box pressed under a Habano Ecuador rosado oscuro wrapper, grown entirely on the family farms at San Rafael, Las Quebradas and San Jose, and cured no less than three and a half years.
• My Father La Gran Oferta, a very oily Habano Rosado wrapper over Cuban seed binder and filler from their own Nicaraguan fields. The band copies an old cigar brand of the same name from around 1913.

The Fresh Pack is sealed at the factory to hold moisture and oils in. Unopened it keeps at peak for about a year. Once you break the seal, plan on roughly 90 days of good smoking before the cigars move into a proper humidor.
