Description

Handmade in Nicaragua, the Nub Habano 358 is a Habano-wrapped gordo from Nub by Oliva.

It blends a Nicaraguan Habano wrapper over a Nicaraguan binder and filler at a medium to full body, leading with cedar, black pepper, espresso, and a sweet, leathery spice. At 3 3/4 by 58, a ring this wide draws easy and burns cool, and it takes a proper toast to get the whole foot lit.

Habano seed left Cuba in the 1960s with the growers who left after the revolution, which is why the same plant now grows in Nicaragua, Honduras and Ecuador, and why so many non-Cuban cigars taste Cuban in outline.
