Description

The Sixty by Rocky Patel Sixty is a San Andrés-wrapped gordo from Rocky Patel, handmade in Nicaragua. Rocky Patel worked as a Hollywood entertainment lawyer before he turned to making cigars.

It blends a Mexican San Andrés wrapper over a Nicaraguan binder and filler at a medium to full body, leading with cocoa, espresso, black pepper, and a sweet, almost-syrupy dark earth. At 6 by 60, the thick format holds a lot of tobacco, which means a long, cool burn and a blend with time to show all of itself.

San Andres is low in sugar and slightly bitter before fermentation. The long sweat is what converts it, which is why a rushed San Andres maduro tastes harsh and a properly done one tastes like dark chocolate.

Pairs well with bourbon, espresso, or porter.
