Handmade in Nicaragua, the Aganorsa Leaf Arsenio Robusto is a Corojo-wrapped robusto from Aganorsa Leaf, the Nicaraguan grower and maker. Aganorsa grows its own Cuban-seed Nicaraguan tobacco.

It blends a Nicaraguan Corojo wrapper over a Nicaraguan binder and filler at a full body, leading with leather, red pepper, dry cedar, and a sweet, earthy core. At 5 1/4 by 54, it burns cool and even.

Corojo 99 is the modern version of the leaf, bred to shrug off the diseases that made the original such a headache to farm, and it kept the pepper intact.

Pairs well with bourbon, espresso, or stout.
