Description

Handmade in the Dominican Republic, the EP Carrillo La Historia E-III is a San Andrés-wrapped double corona from Ernesto Perez-Carrillo’s E.P. Carrillo. Ernesto Perez-Carrillo built the brand after decades shaping modern premium cigars.

It blends a Mexican San Andrés wrapper over an Ecuadorian Sumatra binder and Nicaraguan filler at a medium to full body, leading with cocoa, espresso, black pepper, and a sweet, almost-syrupy dark earth. At 6 7/8 by 54, it burns cool and even.

Mexican San Andres has become the default maduro wrapper across the industry, to the point that a cocoa note on a dark cigar is usually this leaf doing the talking.
