Description

San Cristobal takes its name from San Cristobal de La Habana, the full original name of the city of Havana. Ashton owns the brand and the Garcia family makes it at My Father in Esteli.

An Ecuadorian Sumatra wrapper covers Nicaraguan binder and filler, medium in body. Expect cedar and espresso up front, leather and sweet spice through the middle, and cocoa on the finish. At 5 by 54, it burns cool and even.

Sumatra seed leaf, now grown mostly in Ecuador rather than Indonesia, is the quiet workhorse of the wrapper world: earthy and faintly sweet, with far less pepper than a Habano.

Pairs well with coffee, bourbon, or amber ale.
