Foundation Aksum Maduro Toro 6″ x 52

A darker, steadier profile sets the tone here before the blend starts to widen out. Foundation Aksum Maduro Toro is a 6 x 52 Nicaraguan toro with an Ecuador Sumatra wrapper, Connecticut Broadleaf binder, and fillers from Estelí and Jalapa, landing in the medium to full range. This is a regular production release, and the line was renamed from Metapa to Aksum in 2024.

The flavor usually starts with earth, wood, and a touch of pepper, then moves toward coffee, cocoa, and a mild sweetness through the middle. That mix gives the cigar a fuller feel without pushing into anything harsh or overly heavy. The soft-pressed shape and toro format keep the profile broad and measured, making it a good fit for smokers looking for a longer session with darker flavors and a little more depth.

This cigar suits an after-dinner smoke, and it also fits well as an evening option when a medium to full toro makes more sense than something lighter or shorter. It works nicely for broadleaf fans who want a different wrapper expression, and it also fits shoppers exploring Foundation beyond the better-known core lines. Foundation Aksum Maduro Toro is an easy one to keep in rotation when the goal is richness, size, and a profile that stays focused from start to finish.

Pairs well with bourbon, espresso, or porter.
