Description

H. Upmann by AJ Fernandez puts the historic Cuban-heritage brand in AJ Fernandez’s Nicaraguan hands, and the Toro is a standard size. The H. Upmann by AJ Fernandez Toro is made in Nicaragua with an Ecuadorian Sumatra wrapper over Nicaraguan binder and filler, at a medium body.

The flavor usually leans toward cedar, coffee, nuts, and a light pepper. At 6 by 54, the toro gives an even, steady burn.

The medium body works across the day rather than only the evening. It is sold as singles or boxes of 20, so one is an easy first taste. A medium, AJ Fernandez-made H. Upmann.

Pairs well with coffee, bourbon, or porter.
