Description

Handmade in the Dominican Republic, the La Flor Dominicana Ligero Natural L-500 is a Sumatra-wrapped gordo from Litto Gómez’s bold Dominican house. La Flor Dominicana, founded by Litto Gómez, grows its own tobacco in the Dominican Republic and is known for some of the boldest cigars made.

It blends an Ecuadorian Sumatra wrapper over a Dominican binder and filler at a full body, leading with earth, cedar, coffee, and a peppery, faintly sweet finish. At 5 3/4 by 60, the thick ring keeps the smoke cool and rounded over a long burn.

Dutch machine-made cigars ran on Sumatra wrapper for over a century, and the leaf’s reputation for burning clean and even comes from that: a machine cannot tolerate a wrapper that runs.
