Quorum Maduro Torpedo 6″ * 52

The lone figurado in the Quorum Maduro lineup, the Torpedo tapers to a pointed head while keeping the rest of the line’s value-priced darker blend.

J.C. Newman produces the cigar at the PENSA factory in Estelí, Nicaragua, using an Ecuadorian Sumatra Sun Grown Maduro wrapper over a Connecticut Broadleaf binder and Nicaraguan filler. The line is medium-bodied and sits as the fullest of the three Quorum wrapper expressions, with the Classic and Shade running lighter. The Torpedo measures 6 by 52 and ships in 20-count bundles.

The tapered head concentrates the smoke at the start, opening with dark chocolate, cedar, and a measured pepper, then moving into leather, coffee, and a touch of dried fruit through the middle before a finish carrying earth and natural sweetness. The 52 ring gauge gives the binder and filler more room to develop than the slimmer formats in the line, while the figurado shape pulls the wrapper character forward across the first third. The size suits a relaxed hour-and-a-half pace.
