Toscanello Rosso Caffe Macchiato is a flavored ammezzato introduced in 2013 and made in Cava de’ Tirreni with Italian and foreign Kentucky filler under an Italian Kentucky wrapper. Its defining trait is the sweetened tip and infusion process, which were developed to combine espresso character with a more sugary opening than the standard Aroma Caffe line.

The flavor often starts with sweet coffee and roasted sugar, then settles into smoky wood, espresso, and a mild spice note. The sweet taste tends to last longer here than in the regular Caffe, so the cigar reads more like coffee with cream and sugar than straight roasted coffee over dark-fired tobacco.

At 3 x 38, the format keeps the smoke brief and concentrated, with the flavored opening doing most of the work in the first half. It fits best when the goal is a short Toscano with a clear dessert-like angle but still enough tobacco weight to avoid feeling thin.
