Jaime Garcia Reserva Especial is the eponymous line from Jaime Garcia, son of Don Pepin Garcia, originally released in late 2009 as a single 6 by 56 toro gordo before expanding into a full lineup. The cigar uses a Connecticut Broadleaf wrapper over a Nicaraguan binder and a Nicaraguan long-filler core drawn from Garcia family farms in Estelí, with all rolling handled at My Father Cigars in Estelí, Nicaragua. The Super Gordo measures 5 3/4 by 66 at medium-to-full body, sold in boxes of 20.

The flavor tends to lean toward dark chocolate, leather, and earth, with espresso, roasted nuts, and a touch of cream filling in through the middle and black pepper showing up on the finish. The 66 ring gauge produces dense smoke output, with the Broadleaf wrapper pulling the profile toward the cocoa side rather than the heavier spice typical of other My Father blends. The short length keeps the format closer to a robusto duration despite the gauge.
