Description

The Ozgener Karatoba Robusto is a Sumatra-wrapped robusto from Ozgener Karatoba, handmade in Nicaragua. Ozgener Family Cigars was founded by Tim Ozgener, whose father Cano founded CAO Cigars.

It blends an Ecuadorian Sumatra wrapper over a Nicaraguan binder and Nicaraguan and Dominican filler at a medium to full body, leading with earth, cedar, coffee, and a peppery, faintly sweet finish. At 5 by 52, it burns cool and even.

Dutch machine-made cigars ran on Sumatra wrapper for over a century, and the leaf’s reputation for burning clean and even comes from that: a machine cannot tolerate a wrapper that runs.

Pairs well with bourbon, espresso, or porter.
