Description

Handmade in Nicaragua, the Trinidad Espiritu Series No. 3 Toro is a San Andres-wrapped toro from Trinidad Espiritu. This is the non-Cuban Trinidad, made by Altadis; the original Cuban Trinidad began as a rare diplomatic gift cigar.

It blends a Mexican San Andres wrapper over a Nicaraguan binder and Nicaraguan filler at a medium to full body, leading with earth, cedar, coffee, and a peppery, faintly sweet finish. At 6 by 54, it burns cool and even.

San Andres is thick, tough leaf, which is exactly why it survives the long fermentation a maduro takes. Thinner leaf falls apart before it ever gets that far.

Pairs well with coffee, bourbon, or amber ale.
