Description

The New World Oscuro Redondo is the round member of AJ Fernandez’s New World Oscuro family, made at the family’s Tabacalera Fernández in Estelí, Nicaragua. AJ Fernandez learned to grow and blend tobacco from his grandfather in Cuba before building one of Nicaragua’s most sought-after factories.

It sets a dark Nicaraguan wrapper over Nicaraguan binder and filler, at a medium to full body. Expect espresso, dark chocolate, black pepper, and a sweet, earthy finish. At 6 1/2 by 55, the round toro gordo burns cool and even.

A darker, fuller New World in a rounded format, at the line’s familiar value. A dependable everyday Nicaraguan with real depth.

Pairs well with bourbon, espresso, or porter.
